CLASSEN receives EcoVadis bronze - sustainability performance among the top 35% worldwide

Baruth / Kaisersesch, June 3, 2025 - The CLASSEN Group was awarded the Bronze Medal by EcoVadis in May 2025. This puts the company in the top 35% of all companies assessed worldwide in the EcoVadis ranking.

In the current assessment, CLASSEN has made impressive progress and demonstrated a very positive performance overall. In particular, the company has made significant improvements in the areas of labor and human rights and the environment, demonstrating its commitment to sustainable and responsible business practices. The areas of sustainable procurement and ethics also demonstrate the company's continuous development and strong commitment to improving in these important areas.

“The assessment by EcoVadis is an important indicator for us that we are on the right track with our sustainability approach,” says Jan Wöhner, Sustainability Officer at the CLASSEN Group. “At the same time, it shows us where we need to make further progress - particularly in the areas of ethics and the supply chain. Transparency, progress and responsibility remain key guidelines for us.”

EcoVadis is the world's leading platform for evaluating sustainability performance in global supply chains. Companies are assessed on the basis of 21 criteria in four areas - environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement - based on international standards such as GRI, UN Global Compact and ISO 26000.

The award is clear evidence of the CLASSEN Group's consistent commitment to sustainability. It also confirms the effectiveness of numerous measures that have been implemented along the supply chain and within the company in recent years.
