Kaisersesch. Guido Stallknecht has joined the management of Akzenta Paneele + Profile GmbH with immediate effect. The production company of the CLASSEN Group manufactures the material CERAMIN, which is used in modern PVC-free and recyclable vinyl/design floors, at the Kaisersesch site (Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany) with around 300 employees.
Dr. Hans-Jürgen Hannig, founder and managing director of the family-run CLASSEN Group: "We are convinced that Mr. Stallknecht, with his many years of experience and his in-depth specialist knowledge, will be able to make an excellent contribution to the success of CERAMIN in all future challenges. The use of recycled raw materials in particular represents a revolution in the sustainability of floor coverings, and the other daily challenges in this context are also great - high investments in new production processes and the expansion of the existing infrastructure will take up a great deal of the management of this company in the coming years."
Guido Stallknecht has been with the company since 2004 as head of central purchasing. He will continue to perform this task in addition to his role as authorised signatory of W. Classen GmbH & Co. KG, he will continue to perform this task. For the plant in Kaisersesch, he was responsible, among other things, for the purchase of already recycled polypropylene plastic, which was a completely new challenge for the flooring industry. With 25 percent, such recyclates are an important component of the CERAMIN material. Guido Stallknecht on his new task: "I am honoured to have been appointed to the management of Akzenta by the owner family. At the same time, I am looking forward to taking on further responsibility for the CERAMIN division. Because this material is certainly one of the most innovative and sustainable in the entire industry and we are all highly motivated to continue this success story at the Kaisersesch site."
CERAMIN is 100 percent recyclable. CLASSEN is actively involved in the circular economy of plastic products and is continuously expanding its cooperation with various partners. For example, the company has set up a joint venture with Hündgen Entsorgungs GmbH & Co. KG, an operator of recycling plants, the joint venture HC Plastics GmbH.
CERAMIN consists of 60 % natural mineral filler and 40 % polymers based on polypropylene (PP). It is suitable for walls and floors in almost all interior areas, even in wet rooms. Its advantages also lie in its robustness, durability and resistance to moisture. The formulation and production of CERAMIN has been patented by the CLASSEN Group.
CERAMIN is odourless and does not contain any substances that can evaporate and are harmful to health. PVC, on the other hand, can emit harmful plasticisers and chlorine over many years. CERAMIN is therefore a solution that is healthy for the home and will continue to be used even if the use of PVC is further restricted by the legislators.
