Sustainable and unique: Premiere for CLASSEN at Interzum

Modular booth with 420 different, completely recycled unique planks

Cologne, 28 March 2023. For the first time, the CLASSEN Group is participating in Interzum, the world's leading trade fair for furniture manufacturing and interior design. The family-owned company celebrates the premiere with a stand construction concept that makes the leitmotifs of the wall and floor covering manufacturer - sustainability and uniqueness - tangible in Cologne from May 9 to 12. For example, the stand in Hall 1.2 can be set up and dismantled on a modular basis and thus individually adapted to the circumstances of different trade fair and presentation events. In addition, trade show visitors can get an impression of the CLASSEN Group's capabilities on 420 unique floorboards. The digitally printed CERAMINⓇ individual planks are not only robust but also 100 percent recyclable. Thanks to easy de-installation, the entire surface can subsequently be reused or completely recycled.

420 Single planks

CLASSEN is already using the new modular stand construction concept at BAU in Munich. Only a few weeks later, the stand, albeit somewhat larger at 145 square meters, will be at Interzum. The exhibition segment "Materials & Nature" is made for the traditional company from Kaisersesch. The patented CERAMINⓇ material was developed with great passion at the company's headquarters, and it is not only its exceptional product properties that are impressive, but above all its approach to sustainability.

CERAMIN®: prime example of the circular economy

CERAMIN® consists mainly of natural mineral filler and polypropylene (PP). In turn, more than 65 percent of the plastic content is made up of recycled materials. This makes the floor and wall coverings healthy for the home, 100 percent recyclable and a sustainable alternative to PVC flooring, ceramic tiles and natural stone. Thanks to their robustness (service class 34 / AC6), CERAMINⓇ floors are particularly suitable for trade show and store construction as well as for commercial and residential applications. Also because they are resistant to moisture and very easy to clean. At the K 2022 plastics trade fair, the mechanical engineering company battenfeld.cincinatti had already equipped its trade fair stand with CERAMINⓇ flooring, which was subsequently processed into new flooring at the CLASSEN plant in Kaisersesch.

Sustainable, powerful and detail-oriented

Visitors to the trade fair should be impressed not only by the robustness of the CERAMINⓇ floors installed at the stand, but above all by the fact that CLASSEN has made a point of ensuring that no two planks are alike. The design of the floors is based on domestic wood species, which are created using a digital printing process - the floor of the Interzum trade fair stand could thus be equipped with 240 unique planks. This proves the efficiency and the attention to detail of the design department of the CLASSEN Group.

Price worthy: tile alternative CERAMINⓇ Tiles and herringbone laminate ManorⓇ

Two product innovations from the CLASSEN Group are in the running for the prestigious interzum award, which will be presented at interzum on May 8, 2023. With the award, the expert jury honors products that can convince them with regard to the value-added factors of design, sustainability and innovation. These are precisely the aspects that apply to both the CERAMINⓇ Tiles collection, which has already proven itself in the market, and the first herringbone laminate collection ManorⓇ.

XXL and ultra-light: design and renovate bathrooms on your own with CERAMINⓇ Tiles

CERAMINⓇ Tiles is a completely new category of tiles. They are ultra-light, robust and ideally suited for bathroom renovation or refurbishment. They are also available with an extensive range of different decors and formats. For example, despite their size of 2.55 × 1.20 meters, the XXL decors weigh up to 60 percent less than conventional ceramic tiles. This means they can be laid by one person alone. This makes CERAMINⓇ Tiles particularly attractive for DIY enthusiasts and craftsmen. At the booth, visitors can experience all the technical advancements of the new CERAMINⓇ generation on the basis of the new "Nuva" collection. In addition to an embossed bevel in the wear layer, Nuva is characterized above all by its XL formats.

Manor - the first herringbone laminate collection with ease of installation

With ManorⓇ CLASSEN underpins its technology leadership in the flooring industry.

These and other novelties are available at the booth B021 from the CLASSEN Group in Hall 1.2 at Interzum from May 9 to 12.
