Kaisersesch/Baruth, September 16, 2025 – The CLASSEN Group has published its 2024 Sustainability Report. The report provides comprehensive insight into the company's progress in the areas of environment, social affairs, and corporate governance (ESG). CLASSEN has already taken into account and integrated numerous elements of the new European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) this year – a further step towards even greater transparency and comparability.
"For us, sustainability means not only responsibility, but also future viability. With the new report, we are making it clear that we do not view ecological, social, and economic aspects separately, but as a whole. We want to provide our stakeholders with transparent information and at the same time show that we are consistently continuing on our path of transformation," says Julie Quervel, Managing Director of CLASSEN Holz Kontor GmbH, in her role as Sustainability Department Officer for the CLASSEN Group.
The 2024 Sustainability Report highlights progress in areas such as more energy-efficient production methods, further optimization of sustainable materials, and the development of healthy living products. By focusing on the ESRS at an early stage, CLASSEN is also laying the foundation for the upcoming regulatory requirements under the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
