The CLASSEN Group continues its regional commitment to youth soccer: This year, the company is once again supporting JFV Schieferland with functional shirt sponsorship and has also installed new advertising hoardings at the sports field in Kaisersesch, underlining its close ties to the region and to youth soccer.

At first glance, you wouldn't expect a hackathon at a traditional company like CLASSEN, which has a long history and extensive expertise in flooring production. But that's exactly what took place on November 5 and 6, 2025: an interdisciplinary innovation workshop that brought a breath of fresh air to a rather conservative industry – with a lasting impact.

The CLASSEN Group has published its 2024 Sustainability Report. The report provides comprehensive insight into the company's progress in the areas of environment, social affairs, and corporate governance (ESG). CLASSEN has already taken into account and integrated numerous elements of the new European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) this year—a further step toward even greater transparency and comparability.

The CLASSEN Group and HAWO GmbH are launching a pilot project for circular economy in the flooring industry that is unique in Germany. Since January 1, 2025, both partners have been testing a joint take-back concept for CLASSEN's PVC-free CERAMIN products – for the first time also for returns from the trade. The project will run until the end of the year and is intended to serve as a basis for further sustainable cooperation.

The CLASSEN Group was awarded the bronze medal by EcoVadis in May 2025. This puts the company in the top 35% of all companies assessed worldwide in terms of sustainability - an important sign of responsible action and continuous improvement. The award underlines CLASSEN's commitment to the environment, social responsibility and ethical business practices.

The CLASSEN Group has received the Cradle to Cradle Certified® Material Health Certificate in bronze for its CERAMIN flooring, as the materials used have been selected with health and environmental friendliness in mind. This confirms the high quality and reusability of the materials. At the same time, it underlines the company's commitment to sustainable, safe and recyclable products.

Classen and i4F are strengthening their patent partnership, which now also includes Classen's polypropylene (PP) technologies. In addition, CLASSEN is using the i4F Drop-Lock system for its PP products, which are produced in Kaisersesch with a capacity of over 20 million square meters. i4F is receiving licensing rights for the PP technology and is expanding its portfolio of sustainable material solutions – a step towards more environmentally friendly flooring.

The CLASSEN Group has been awarded the prestigious Solar Impulse Efficient Solution Label for CERAMIN®. This honour confirms CERAMIN® as one of the most sustainable and efficient solutions in the construction and renovation industry.

On October 14, 2024, the innovative material CERAMIN was awarded the German Design Award in the “Winner” category for its outstanding design quality and sustainable properties. This prestigious award recognizes products that impress with their innovative approach and functional design and thus contribute to the sustainable transformation of the economy. The German Design Award is regarded as a benchmark for pioneering design developments.

During his visit to Baruth/Mark today, Brandenburg's Minister of Economic Affairs, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jörg Steinbach, toured the Classen Group's laminate and fiberboard plant and learned about the planned measures to reduce CO2 emissions. The plant intends to cover its electricity requirements from renewable sources in future. To this end, Classen is planning to build a wind farm together with the naturwind group of companies.
