CLASSEN Group files suit against competitor

Akzenta Paneele + Profile GmbH, a subsidiary of the Classen Group, filed a lawsuit against the two companies Kronoflooring GmbH and KRONOSPAN GmbH Lampertswalde with the Düsseldorf Regional Court on May 25, 2023 (file number 4c O 29/23). With the lawsuit, Akzenta is claiming infringement of its European patent EP 1 891 283 B1 in Germany.

The subject of the lawsuit is laminate flooring that features a specific, one-piece fold-down interlocking technology and is sold through various sales channels in Germany.

The Düsseldorf Regional Court has set a trial date for the end of May 2024.

The Classen Group has received Cradle to Cradle Material Health certification for CERAMIN®.

CLASSEN Group and i4F further strengthen patent partnership with innovative Polypropylene (PP) flooring solutions

Classen and i4F are strengthening their patent partnership, which now also includes Classen's polypropylene (PP) technologies. In addition, CLASSEN is using the i4F Drop-Lock system for its PP products, which are produced in Kaisersesch with a capacity of over 20 million square meters. i4F is receiving licensing rights for the PP technology and is expanding its portfolio of sustainable material solutions – a step towards more environmentally friendly flooring.
