CLASSEN places promissory note for 75 million euros via finpair - expansion of CERAMIN activities planned

. The CLASSEN Group, one of the world's leading manufacturers of floor coverings, successfully placed a promissory note via finpair's digital platform, which brokers promissory notes to interested investors. A loan volume of 50 million euros was initially planned. However, investor demand was so great that the issue was heavily oversubscribed and a promissory note with a total volume of 75 million euros was finally issued. One third of this could be used to extend existing maturities. CLASSEN plans to use the funds for general corporate financing and in particular for the expansion of its CERAMIN production.

CLASSEN: Anniversary for the largest laminate plant in the world

20 years ago, in the fall of 2001, the CLASSEN Group opened its plant in Baruth (Brandenburg). It started with 120 employees. Today, it is the largest contiguous laminate plant in the world. Around 850 employees in Baruth produce up to 80 million square meters of high-quality laminate flooring per year for the global market. This means that laminate the size of a 20-square-meter living room leaves production every seven seconds. By 2020, the first billion square meters of laminate had been produced, which is enough to cover the entire island of Rügen.
